CDC National Chair Mulbah Morlu threatens to denounce the membership of the party's stalwarts who fail to obtain their biometric voter registration cards

Morlu made the disclosure Monday, March 20, during the launch of the party's biometric registration at the headquarters of the Coalition for Democratic Change in Congo Town.

He added that any official of the party, irrespective of their leadership status, who does not take advantage of the registration will be made to leave the party immediately.

The CDC Chair said it is incumbent upon all party executives and members to get registered to secure the second-term victory of President George Weah in the 2023 elections.

Mr. Morlu further noted that beginning next week, all executive members of the CDC will show proof of their biometric registration cards.

Civil Servants Association of Liberia calls on President Weah to reject the signing into law of a pension bill emulated from the 54th Legislature.

Addressing a press conference Monday in Monrovia, the association’s President, Moibah Johnson, averred that the pension bill is not in the interest of civil servants.

He claimed that some members of the 54th Legislature would not be reelected for always putting their interest above the people’s interest.

At the same time, Moibah Johnson has called on all civil servants in the country to participate in the voter registration exercise and obtain their voter’s card.

He wants all civil servants to vote for people in the pending elections that will best represent their interests.

Former Minister of State for Presidential Affairs Nathaniel McGill says the ongoing biometric voter registration process needs to be faster and more manageable.

Addressing reporters Monday at the Rock International School in lower Margibi County, the sanctioned former Minister called on the National Elections Commission to take note of the slow paste of the BVR.

He also wants the NEC to improve the process as soon as possible.

The Margibi County senatorial aspirant added that the 2023 elections are very crucial to the peace and stability of the country.

He said as such, any activity that will stall the process should be treated with emergency and care to allow Liberians to exercise their constitutional rights.

At the same time, the former government official encouraged all citizens of Margibi County to go through the BVR process and register.
